Lions vs Bangladesh: Tickets on sale Feb 19 as FAS plans National Stadium carnival

SINGAPORE — Fans who want to watch Singapore’s Lions take on Bangladesh in their final Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup 2027 qualifier can buy tickets from Feb 19.
The Group C match will be played on March 31 at 8pm at the National Stadium. With qualification already secured, it will be a dead rubber. That means the result will not affect the final group standings.
Still, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is positioning the night as a celebration.
A matchday party is planned around Kallang
FAS said on Feb 13 that supporters can expect a carnival atmosphere in The Kallang precinct.
It said there will be live entertainment, fan zones and interactive activities in the lead-up to match day.
FAS general secretary Badri Ghent said the final home qualifier is meant to mark the team’s achievement and give fans a chance to share in it.
Why this game is already “dead rubber”
Singapore have qualified for the Asian Cup 2027 in Saudi Arabia as Group C winners.
After five matches, the Lions have 11 points. They are three points ahead of second-placed Hong Kong.
With only one game left, Singapore cannot be overtaken. FAS noted the Lions also hold a superior head-to-head record over Hong Kong, which secures their position at the top.
Singapore’s unbeaten road to Riyadh
Singapore’s qualification campaign was dramatic, even without defeat.
The Lions drew at home with Hong Kong (0-0) and India (1-1). However, they won all three away matches, beating Bangladesh, India and Hong Kong 2-1.
That run ensured Singapore returned to Asia’s top tournament for the first time in decades.
A rare Asian Cup appearance for Singapore
Singapore’s only previous Asian Cup appearance was as hosts in 1984.
That history adds weight to the March 31 fixture, even if qualification is already wrapped up.
With tickets available from Feb 19 and festivities promised around Kallang, FAS is hoping the National Stadium turns into a loud send-off as the Lions close their qualifying campaign against Bangladesh.
