The striking-off carries immediate professional consequences. Singh can no longer be reinstated to the bar without a formal application \u2014 a process that is both lengthy and rarely successful in cases involving dishonesty findings.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
His parliamentary position remains a separate matter entirely. Disbarment does not automatically trigger disqualification from holding a seat in the Legislative Assembly under Singapore’s Constitution, and Singh’s continued role as Leader of the Opposition will be subject to ongoing political and public scrutiny.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
