The rights package also includes selected youth tournaments, including the Under-17 and Under-20 World Cups for both men and women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mediacorp World Cup rights expand free coverage on Channel 5 and mewatch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mediacorp said it will increase the number of free-to-air World Cup matches in Singapore from nine in 2022 to 28 in 2026, with coverage on Channel 5 and the mewatch platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The free-to-air slate will include the opening match, 23 group-stage matches, both semi-finals, the third-place play-off and the final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mediacorp said the 28 free-to-air matches will be available on mewatch without requiring viewers to log in or create an account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Full tournament access to require subscription<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For access to the full 2026 World Cup coverage of all 104 matches, viewers will need a mewatch account and a valid subscription, Mediacorp said.
